AGRICULTURE LOAN OFFICER

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Rock Rapids, IA

Employment type: Full Time


JOB SUMMARY

Develops and manages agriculture loan portfolio in accordance with bank lending policy. Handles all aspects of lending process including interview, analysis, investigation, documentation and collection. Monitors commodity markets and stays current on value of land, machinery, crops, and livestock.


MAJOR INITIATIVES

1. Gathers information from customers during loan process, makes credit decisions, prepares loan documents and all related documentation requirements and closes loans.

2. Review credit reports and prepares annual reviews, cash flows, financial statements, and inspection reports.

3. Solicits and develops new loan business, grows ag loan portfolio, cross-sells bank products and services.

4. Responsible for conducting inspections of collateral.

5. Initiates and follows through with liquidation/foreclosure, when necessary.

6. Monitors portfolio compliance with loan policy and appropriate regulations.

7. Handles bank-related customer matters or inquiries involving non-lending relationships.

8. Participates in overall bank management through committee assignments.

9. Responsible for Ag loans in market area and marketing to existing and potential Ag customers.

10. Recommend loan policy revisions and changes to management.

11. Perform Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering duties according to bank procedures and policies.

12. Be familiar and compliant with regulatory policy and procedures.

13. Pursue a personal professional development program.

14. Be familiar with and support corporate goals and strategies.

15. Support the bank's community involvement and development program


EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.

Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

-Possession of a BS degree in Ag Economics or Ag Business preferred

-Five years of Ag lending experience

-General banking experience desired


OTHER

This is an exempt, salaried position that reports directly to the Senior Loan Officer and will work on other assignments and duties as directed. COMMERCIAL LOAN OFFICER

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the development and management of commercial loan portfolio. Ensuring that all responsibilities are conducted in a manner that provides maximum profitability to bank with minimum risk.



MAJOR INITIATIVES

1. Develops, expands, and services commercial loan portfolio. Establishes and negotiates terms under which credit will be extended including costs, repayment method/schedule, and collateral requirements.

2. Directs and updates required reports with all loans.

3. Monitors loan portfolio for loss.

4. Recommends loan policy changes as necessary.

5. Assists customers, when possible, on business management and financial matters.

6. Assists and counsels with training and development of all commercial loan staff members.

7. Monitors compliance with loan and leasing policies and appropriate regulations.

8. Participates in overall bank management through committee assignments.

9. Responsible for cross-selling of bank's services and products.

10. Perform Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering duties according to bank procedures and

policies.

11. Be familiar and compliant with regulatory policy and procedures.
