Welcome to Frontier Bank. We are a group of community bankers that specializes in serving farmers, small businesses, community organizations, and individuals with an array of banking, trust, insurance, and real estate services.

Frontier Bank was organized as the Rock Rapids State Bank in 1932 by a group of local farmers, business people, and individuals determined to build and maintain a strong independent community bank. They succeeded and so have we. Except for a small acquisition in 1994, we've grown by serving customers, first in Rock Rapids, IA (1932), and later in new locations: Little Rock, IA (1934), Sioux Falls, SD (1996), and George, IA (2006). In addition, we serve customers on the Internet (1999).

We maintain a staff of experts in providing deposit, loan, insurance, and real estate services for farmers, small businesses, homeowners, individuals, and investors. We reinvest our earnings to support growth, to provide investment in banking technology and equipment, and to increase our lending capacity for our growing customer base.
